By Briana Iverson

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Hughes Marino announces new hire of Kevin Brennan, former Executive Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield, as Executive Vice President for its San Francisco region (which includes offices in San Francisco, Walnut Creek and San Jose).

Brennan, a 29-year veteran of representing commercial tenants in the San Francisco region, has joined Cale Miller and Cameron Love, at Hughes Marino’s 16th floor office at One California in Downtown San Francisco. Hughes Marino’s presence in the East Bay includes Kameron Schroeder, former Senior Vice President of JLL, and Matt Geist at their Walnut Creek office on North California Blvd.

“Kevin is an extraordinary human being. He’s one of the most accomplished senior brokers in the San Francisco Bay Area, and we are incredibly proud to have him join our team” said Jason Hughes, Chairman & CEO of Hughes Marino.

Prior to joining Hughes Marino, Brennan led the C&W tenant representation business. Prior to C&W, Brennan helped launch The Staubach Company two decades ago (it was subsequently sold to JLL approximately 10 years ago and as such, Brennan spent 7 years as a Managing Director at JLL) where he served as the Managing Partner.

In addition to a strong city and regional focus, Kevin has coordinated client projects nationally for corporations such as Transamerica, which had office requirements in virtually every major metropolitan market in the U.S.

His areas of commercial real estate expertise include finance, trends analysis, market assessment, transaction strategy and execution.

JLL

Managing Director; 2009-2016
Kevin effectively returned “back home” to The Staubach Company and Jones Lang Wootton, when he rejoined JLL (e.g. JLL is comprised of The Staubach Co. and Jones Lang Wootton along with LaSalle Partners and others). He was at the combined JLL company for more than thirteen (13) years in total. At JLL, Kevin specifically helped larger corporations and partnerships figure out and implement the best way to finance and locate their office headquarters. Kevin’s legal industry focus caused him to be invited to sit on JLL’s global law firm practice group executive committee.

Savills

Executive Vice President & Branch Manager; 2005-2009
Kevin and his team were recruited by Studley – a direct competitor to Roger Staubach’s firm–during an unfortunately tumultuous season at The Staubach Co. in the Bay Area. While at Studley, Kevin honed his leadership skills and financial acumen. However, at the end of his four (4) year contract, Kevin very much missed the culture and people at The Staubach Co., so he immediately rejoined the company. During his four (4) year absence, The Staubach Co. merged with JLL.

The Staubach Company

Senior Vice President & Principal; 1999-2005
Coming from Jones Lang Wootton–the predecessor in part to JLL, Kevin’s experience opening and leading The Staubach Co’s San Francisco office was an invaluable season. Kevin and his partners grew the Staubach Co. office from 3 professionals in early 1999 to the market leader in tenant brokerage by year end 2004. Specifically, Kevin helped larger corporations and partnerships figure out and implement the best way to finance and locate their office headquarters, while also building the office.

Berkeley-Haas Entrepreneurship (Non-Profit)

Board Chair and Member; 2003-2010
Kevin was the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Young Entrepreneurs at Haas (YEAH) at the School of Business at UC Berkeley. YEAH is Haas’ public mission and is focused on helping underserved middle school and high school students learn about business and enter college.
