Hughes Marino Expanding Into Denver With Large Broker Assemblage From Multiple Firms

Company Expanding Operations as More Companies Relocate to Colorado

Denver, CO – Hughes Marino, the national flagship brand for providing commercial real estate services exclusively for tenants and buyers, is pleased to announce the ongoing expansion of its corporate footprint with the opening of a new office located in Denver, CO.

“The commercial and entrepreneurial spirit of this region is at the core of its rapid growth and economic success,” said Jason Hughes, Chairman & CEO of Hughes Marino. “With Denver being a highly desirable place to live and do business, our expanding footprint is focused on bringing our portfolio of service offerings to businesses seeking tenant and buyer representation.”

Leading Hughes Marino’s Denver expansion are Lindsay Brown and Billy Byrne, both formerly senior level brokers from JLL. Both joined JLL as a result of JLL’s acquisition 12 years ago of The Staubach Company, which similar to Hughes Marino was a tenant-only representation firm. Also joining Hughes Marino are Annie Liston, Patrick Byrnes, Marc Feldman and Brinete Chavez from JLL, Amelia Vigen from Colliers, and Rider Stoglin from Newmark.

“Billy and I have missed the singular focus that we and our clients enjoyed with The Staubach Company years ago. Hughes Marino is version 10x of what we had at Staubach and we’re incredibly excited to join their award-winning company and to help lead the Denver expansion,” Brown said.

“We had a common acquaintance in Hughes Marino’s San Francisco office, and after learning more about the company, it’s unique consultative approach to an antiquated industry and its nationally recognized culture, Lindsay and I felt it was all that we could have wanted for our clients and a Denver team. I’m very grateful to be part of this organization, and I can’t wait to share all of the benefits with our clients and the greater Denver business community,” Byrne said.

Due to the national attention about the seriousness of conflicts of interest, and the singular focus on serving tenants rather than institutional landlords, the demand from businesses seeking corporate real estate advisory services from firms who only represent companies leasing or purchasing office space is growing and continues to be a driving force in the Hughes Marino expansion effort. From inception, the executive team has worked aggressively to bring to the marketplace a proprietary customer-centric approach to commercial real estate transactions.

“Trying to represent both landlords and tenants is an obsolete byproduct of an industry relic that is fundamentally flawed and patently unfair to tenants,” Hughes said. “We’re looking forward to introducing Denver businesses to the enormous benefits of working with a company that specializes in representing tenants in their leasing and buying of commercial space, not landlords.”

Hughes Marino’s reputation as a nationally awarded company will be welcomed in Denver. Fortune ranked Hughes Marino #1 in the nation among the country’s best workplaces. Entrepreneur recognized the firm as #3 in the nation in their Top Company Cultures list for medium-sized companies, after being ranked #2 for small-sized companies in 2015. In each of their markets, Hughes Marino has been lauded as a top ten best place to work, including garnering accolades as the #1 ranked best workplace in San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, and Seattle.

With strong growth forecasts ahead, and businesses in need of expert guidance in navigating the financial impacts of the pandemic and the ensuing economic recovery to come, Hughes Marino is poised to deliver the same level of exceptional service to the Greater Denver business community.

“Excellence is our brand, and we look forward to the opportunity to bring our expertise and bespoke client services to companies and organizations in new markets,” Hughes said.
