Description
The project consisted of the design, permitting, bidding and final construction of Glanbia’s 17,000 square foot office expansion, 53,000 square foot warehouse expansion, and remodel of their existing 34,000 square foot office and manufacturing/office/warehouse space. The design included locker rooms, an FDA “clean” hallway for employee gowning, a dividable multipurpose center/break room for all hands meetings, and new restrooms along with multiple conference rooms and a new reception and building entrance. The focus was to bring light in to the building using open structure design and sloping ceilings to capture the two story windows in this tilt up concrete structure.
Added Value
Hughes Marino played a key part in completing the project on time and budget. We creatively found ways to cut over $100,000 from the initial project bid while maintaining the integrity of the design. Careful planning and phasing of work allowed to keep production at normal levels throughout the project even while working in and around the manufacturing areas.
