This project involved the design and construction of new interior office, laboratory, and warehouse space within an existing warm shell building owned by the Irvine Company. With unique requirements needed for product manufacturing, Agena’s new headquarters integrated the design of fun, cool, collaborative office space and functional clean environments. The project also included a new 100 kW backup generator, relaxing community room with direct access to site amenities, and 2,500 square feet of clean room space.
From start to finish, Hughes Marino led the project team to ensure schedule and budget goals were met throughout the project. With the planning of complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, Hughes Marino facilitated proper team communication and synergy essential for a biotech build out.
Hughes Marino provided Agena BioScience with full design and project management services ranging from building selection and due diligence to construction oversight throughout the project’s duration.
