The 10,000 square foot expansion space for the CoStar Group is located on the second floor. High-end finishes, corporate design and intricate lighting throughout give this expansion space its own corporate office feel.With the Lutron lighting control system, the perimeter window shades and lights can be set to automatically save energy. Because CoStar relies on the frequent use of video conferencing, Hughes Marino, Perkins + Will, Wiedenbach Brown, and Back’s Construction worked together to perfect the technology, A/V components, and conference room aesthetics.
From the beginning of the project, Hughes Marino’s program, project & construction management team worked with the design team to produce a design that would meet local codes. Additionally, Hughes Marino ensured the proposed design met CoStar’s internal project budgets. Time was of the essence, as CoStar had numerous employees that needed to be operational by a specific date, so despite a two-week delay in the light fixture package delivery, Hughes Marino was able to work with Back’s Construction to complete the project on time and under budget.
Hughes Marino provided complete project management services from design and permitting to selection of the general contractor, project pricing, construction activity management, and coordination of client vendors.
