It’s hard to believe, but we are reaching the eighth month of our 2024 HM Mini Goal Program! Our July goal was to take a road trip, and we loved seeing where you ventured to this month! From short scenic drives, to long road trips to beautiful national parks, to fun amusement rides at Disneyland (we’ve decided it counts!)—we loved seeing where you ventured to enjoy the journey!
Our August HM Mini Goal is a great opportunity to enjoy the warm weather, catch up with friends, experience natural beauty and wind down the summer. This month our goal is to take a sunset walk with a friend.
There is something magical about a sunset. The definitive passing of another day, a moment in time that we all share as we pause and gaze west in shared awe of the glorious shifting colors of fading light. Yes, there is definitely something magical about a sunset, doubly so when you choose to share it with a friend.
The beach or any waterfront is a perfect spot—with the added benefit of a bit of sand between your toes. Or choose any other scenic place—perhaps a bridge, boardwalk, park or your neighborhood. While taking time to slow down and enjoy the sunset with a friend, use this opportunity to grow the friendship—whether it’s a new colleague, gym buddy or a childhood friend. And then there is Ralph Waldo Emerson, who reminds us, “Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn.”
