Johan Quie is a vice president of capital markets at Hughes Marino, a global corporate real estate advisory firm that specializes in representing tenants and buyers. Based out of the firm’s San Francisco office, Johan helps companies with their real estate purchases and sales, including sourcing financing for acquisition and development projects, and ensures his clients receive best-in-class service to help their businesses thrive.

Johan brings over ten years of experience in the real estate industry, with an aggregate transaction volume totaling millions of square feet purchased and/or leased. His past clients include: Disney Online, Paradigm, Lilac Solutions, Born and Bred, MODAL, Weldon Owen and Insight Editions.

Prior to joining Hughes Marino, Johan was a vice president at Innovation Properties Group for eight years, where he concentrated on the technology and advanced manufacturing verticals, representing commercial and industrial clients. He began his real estate career in San Francisco as a broker for commercial real estate firm, Newmark. Prior to his career in real estate, he worked for Sun Microsystems.

Johan grew up in Minneapolis, MN, and attended the University of Minnesota, where he received his bachelor’s degree in journalism. He moved to California to train for the 2012 London Olympics and was on the U.S. Rowing team until 2013. Johan remains very active and continues to compete in regattas every year. In his spare time, Johan enjoys cycling, smoking meats and loves spending quality time with his wife and daughter.
