Derek McGee is a vice president at Hughes Marino, a global corporate real estate advisory firm that specializes in representing tenants and buyers. Based in Hughes Marino’s Raleigh-Durham office, Derek represents tenants and buyers in their commercial real estate transactions and ensures his clients receive best-in-class service at every step of the way.

Derek is dedicated to delivering excellence to his clients and specializes in representing office and healthcare users across Raleigh-Durham and nationally. He is a strategic partner to his clients, providing unique solutions to help achieve their specific goals. Derek assists companies in a wide variety of transactions, including strategic planning, lease and purchase negotiations, dispositions, lease renewals and renegotiations, facility purchases, build-to-suits and more.

Derek graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Prior to joining Hughes Marino, Derek worked as a strategic alliance consultant and senior licensing analyst, where he gained extensive knowledge in understanding and finding solutions to client needs, as well as utilizing data to make personalized recommendations for his clients.

In his free time, Derek enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, hiking and watching sports.
