Tenant improvement project to build approximately 31,000 square feet of office space. The space includes conference and training room space, open office for workstations, private offices, a break room along with a large lunch room area. There are also numerous small gathering spaces both in private and in open areas to encourage impromptu collaboration among employees. The completed tenant improvements serve as Quidel’s corporate headquarters.
Assisted client in resolving construction and schedule challenges to maintain the original move-in date. Worked with the general contractor to reduce anticipated change orders from increasing the contract to actually reducing the contract by over $40,000. Worked with landlord to repair and replace existing HVAC equipment saving the client over $10,000.
Architect, consultant and general contractor selections, monitoring and assisting with FF&E vendors, construction administration during the actual building, interfacing with landlord/property manager, reconciliation of costs at project closeout.
