This project included the demolition of an existing facility and site work on a two acre site. This work included a bio-filtration system and the construction of a two-story tilt-up Medical Office Building (MOB), 40,000 square feet of interior space, and a central plant. The first floor of the building consists of a mix of clinical and office space, and the second floor is made up of office space and training rooms. The building will be used by Family Health Centers of San Diego (FHCSD) to not only provide affordable healthcare to the community, but to also train members of the community for employment in the healthcare sector.
Hughes Marino acted as the owner and end-user representative, managing the design and construction of the project. Hughes Marino also assisted with coordinating the preliminary documentation for the development that was required by the Title Company as well as Civic San Diego for FHCSD to procure their loan through the New Market Tax Credit (NMTC).
