Hughes Marino Inc. was awarded LEED status for its new building at 1450 Front St. This status was based upon the building’s proximity to a variety of public transportation hubs, as well as other basic community services such as banks, dry cleaners, parks, restaurants and schools. Additional points were awarded for renovating an existing building with a “cool roof” and installing Energy Star rated equipment and appliances in the building.

The Hughes Marino Construction Management team helped oversee the LEED certification process. The team includes Dean Peterson, senior vice president, LEED AP; Dave Bates, vice president, LEED AP; Steven Gorup, project manager, LEED AP; and Nik Bandak, project engineer, LEED green associate.
