Spaces We Love: Red Ventures’ North Carolina HQ

By Star Hughes-Gorup

“The average American spends 1,804 hours at work each year. So why not make it a place that drives innovation, creativity and fun?” – Red Ventures

I love a company with that philosophy!

As a real estate enthusiast – and someone who loves diving into a company’s culture (and the impact it has on its office space) – I appreciate when companies design their offices with innovation, creativity, and fun in mind.

From the pictures you might think that this office is in Silicon Valley, but it’s actually the home to Red Ventures, the country’s largest technology-enabled platform for growing sales and marketing businesses, headquartered in North Carolina.

The space is marked by bright colors (including orange and lime green), and features clean lines, glass, and metal. Spread out over four stories, the half-height walls and glass balconies keep the floors connected, while also providing for very distinct workplaces. Natural wood finishes unify the building while also brightening the space.

Red Ventures maximized its tenant improvement dollars by utilizing hardwood floors in highly visible, key areas such as the cafeteria, while utilizing carpets throughout the rest of the space. Pendant lights are a fun, easy way to add character and personality to your space with minimal cost too. Red Ventures’ use of pendant lights and hardwood floors in the cafeteria make it a warm, inviting place to grab your mid-morning snack.

The warm, modern design elements, however, are nothing compared to the “fun” space housed in the campus. Before Red Ventures built this building, the company first asked its team members for input on the space. What do they look for in their workspace? Conference room? Amenities? The team’s suggestions resulted in a running track, yoga room, fitness center, basketball court, lockers and showers. They also led to pool tables, a bowling alley, high-end cafeteria, outdoor balcony, fire pit, and open workspaces.

I love it. Red Ventures’ team is happy, productive, and on fire – and it’s no coincidence that it also works in one of the coolest offices in the state!
