Description
Hughes Marino’s project management team worked alongside Alvarado Parkway Institute’s managers to design a safe and meaningful facility that allows their nurses to treat those in need in their new Rehabilitation Center. The new facility includes eight double in-patient rooms, a central living room-style space and outdoor amenity space. Patient safety is paramount and the center is organized so the nurse stations face the patient rooms, common area and full kitchen. The kitchen serves two purposes—to help with the patients’ rehabilitation and to feed all occupants.
Added Value
Hughes Marino created the preliminary project budget and schedule, and managed the design, permitting and construction process to ensure the project finished on time and on budget. Despite delays throughout the permitting phase, Hughes Marino worked with the design and engineering team, and general contractor to expedite procurement and reorganize construction process to complete the project on time.
