Audacious Hughes Marino Mini Goalers,
Throughout the month of March we found some fantastic ways to honor our veterans.
Heather, Hope and Sophia volunteered at their local Veterans home and helped with events to thank those who have served our country. Our friend Mary Jo and her daughter collected donations for Vietnam Veterans and Angela looked out for her neighbor, a 90-year-old Korean War Veteran, while his family was away.
I chose to support the Coronado Rotary by playing in their annual Jim Laslavic Charity Golf Tournament with proceeds benefiting some great community service projects including Wounded Warriors and the Big Brothers Big Sisters program called “Operation Bigs” which provides mentoring to military children.
The good work of the Big Brothers Big Sisters may be on the receiving end of some more love next month, because our April Mini Goal is to:
Take Care of Kids
If there is one thing we can all agree on, this is it. When we take care of the youngest generation, we are laying the groundwork for a bright future for all of us. Care for them, guide them, lead them and love them. One day they will be the leaders of our great country, and we have the opportunity today to model a spirit of generosity that can serve as their roadmap. There are so many organizations doing great work with kids today. Choose your favorite and share with them your time, your talent and your treasure, then tell us about it! Be sure to tag your kind actions with #hmminigoals, and send your photos to minigoals@hughesmarino.com.
This is how we grow.
