The new year is starting off great for multiple projects that our Hughes Marino project management team has been involved in! Here’s a glimpse at some of our current projects.
Wheelhouse Credit Union Reconfigures Branch
Wheelhouse Credit Union is set to remodel their downtown branch! Members and teammates alike will enjoy a complete reconfiguration of the branch, which includes stunning interiors to provide for “The Branch of the Future” and a new exterior façade that will surely brighten up the city street corner where they’re located. We’re excited to partner with the Wheelhouse Metro Branch remodel project team which includes Hurkes Harris, Harmon + Wayne, Back’s Construction, Inc. and Cultura.
First Associates’ Bright and Open Floor Plan
First Associates, a premier financial services company, had a 21,000 square foot space that was transformed into an open floor plan with private offices lining the interior core, allowing for plenty of natural light to illuminate the interior space. The breakroom doubles as the firm’s game room, and the executive board room impressively displays a custom twenty-six foot live-edge table and ninety-six-inch television display situated adjacent to the main lobby. Hughes Marino’s team was able to assist in the project and complete it two weeks ahead of schedule, all while staying under budget!
Vividion Therapeutics’ Lab Improvements Complete
This tenant improvement project for Vividion Therapeutics included first and second level lab improvements and site improvements to include two new air handlers and four new exhaust fans. The lab renovations included installing fume hoods and distributed gases to the lab benches for specific operations. With an open structure, high-ceilings and bright colors throughout, this fun and distinctive space will be a great new home for Vividion.
IDEX Health & Science’s Revamped Space
IDEX Health & Science, a global leader in life science fluidics, microfluidics and optics, needed a space that involved the design and construction of new interior offices and a laboratory within in an existing warm shell building. With unique requirements needed for product development and testing, all labs were created with clean room properties. The space also includes a fully equipped prototype room located within the occupied building, including sound walls to prevent any disruption to the client, or neighboring tenants. From start to finish, Hughes Marino led the project team to ensure schedule and budget goals were met throughout the project, with a beautiful final result that was completed on time and under budget. Congratulations to IDEX!
Kinsbursky Brothers, Inc. Breaks Ground on New Facility
Kinsbursky Brothers, Inc. recycles lead-based batteries in their existing facility. Due to new South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) regulations, they are required to enclose their lead acid processing operations. This facility is required to remain under negative pressure and is also required to provide an emission collection system for point-source capture of lead materials. The scope of work also includes the design and construction of a large industrial air handling unit, as well as a large industrial dust collection system. Prior to Hughes Marino joining the team, Kinsbursky had been working on the project for about half a year. Over $1-million worth of heavy industrial equipment had already been purchased and Hughes Marino helped re-focus the project, hired MEP engineers and general contractor and submitted the project to the city for review. The project’s completion date is set for July of this year. Stay tuned to see the final space!
Anduril Industries’ Future Space taking Shape
After 10 months of building search, lease negotiations, design and permitting, Anduril Industries has started construction on their new 155,000 square foot headquarters in partnership with Hughes Marino. The future home of Anduril Industries includes creative offices featuring open ceilings, custom furniture unique to their business operation, a sprawling mess hall dining area, glass curtain walls, outdoor amenity space, and a one-of-a-kind location. Being creators and builders to the core, Anduril’s new home will also include a customized prototyping lab, engineering shop and a fully-equipped warehouse. With a very aggressive transaction schedule and move-in date, Hughes Marino’s brokerage and project management teams helped streamline the successful lease negotiations to secure a cornerstone property. Once the lease had been executed, our program, project and construction management team was tasked with integrating the tenant’s functional tenant improvement design while the landlord completed significant shell renovations. We can’t wait to get this space completed!
Stay tuned next quarter to see updates on these exciting projects!
