Hughes Marino Expands East – Opens Offices in Boston & Raleigh-Durham with Top Brokers From Multiple Firms

Hughes Marino is proud to announce the widely anticipated office openings in both Boston, Massachusetts, and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, as part of an initiative to expand its service offering across the United States and continue to operate around the globe.

While in talks with corporate real estate leaders in these thriving cities, along with others around the country, Hughes Marino CEO Jason Hughes and President Shay Hughes, as well as Managing Director Tucker Hughes, found the perfect additions to lead Hughes Marino’s expansion efforts to the East Coast. Hughes Marino decided to take the leap to open both offices at the same time, super-charging the company’s growing momentum in expanding across the nation. “While our team has been working in these key regions on the East Coast for many years, we are proud to officially open our doors in Boston and Raleigh-Durham with exceptional local teams and leaders, marking the expansion of Hughes Marino in two of the largest life science hubs in the country,” says Jason.

Both leaders are excited to be part of a global corporate real estate advisory firm that values complete transparency and an extremely high standard of service delivered to its clients. “Hughes Marino is an incredible company, nationally awarded for an amazing culture and best-in-class corporate real estate advisory services. The company represents corporate occupiers rather than landlords, giving their clients unbiased expertise and the firm’s dedicated company leadership and operational excellence are second-to-none. I am honored to now be part of this incredible team and company, and I’m excited to utilize their cutting-edge resources to strategically advise my clients at levels that do not exist elsewhere in the industry,” says Brian. “With Hughes Marino’s service offerings designed for occupiers, their passion for excellence, and highly specialized team to back me up, I am positioned to provide an even higher caliber of service to our clients and community in Boston and across the globe. I feel fortunate to be a part of this amazing organization and their expansion to the East Coast,” says Nick.

Rounding out the Boston brokerage team are Mekae Hyde, Joe DeSalvo and Alex Farone, who all have extensive experience in Boston’s burgeoning life science, industrial and professional service industries. “Over this past year, Jason and I have had the pleasure of meeting with this incredible group of brokers. Boston is such a critical and dynamic market in the U.S., and we could not be more excited to have such an amazing group of people representing Hughes Marino and delivering excellence to our clients,” says Shay, who plays an integral part in the company’s national expansion.

Located in the Back Bay, our Boston office is centrally located for easy accessibility for both the Boston team and their clients. The office boasts great views of the city and quick access to incredible amenities.

Hughes Marino Raleigh-Durham

Leading Hughes Marino’s expansion in Raleigh-Durham is Executive Vice President Edwin Yarbrough, a long-time North Carolinian with over 20+ years of industry experience, joining from Savills. “I’m excited and honored to be a part of the team at Hughes Marino. I am eager to continue my focus and commitment to providing white glove brokerage and advisory services exclusively to occupiers of office, life science, industrial and tech companies. The elevated experience Hughes Marino offers directly benefits our clients which at the end of the day is what matters most, client experience and satisfaction, as we assist them in navigating unprecedented times and establishing new norms,” says Edwin. Edwin is joined by Jack Riazzi and Caroline Cole, who both add industry and regional experience to Hughes Marino’s growing presence in Raleigh-Durham. “We are incredibly excited and proud to have kicked off our East Coast expansion with such great team members in North Carolina,” says Shay.

“Trying to represent both landlords and tenants is an obsolete byproduct of an industry relic that is fundamentally flawed and patently unfair to tenants,” Jason said. “We’re looking forward to introducing Raleigh-Durham businesses to the enormous benefits of working with a company that specializes in representing tenants in their leasing and buying of commercial space.”

Hughes Marino’s latest office is located in downtown Durham, an area with easy access for clients and the team, all within walking distance to the Durham Bulls Athletic Park and Durham’s great restaurant scene.

The Boston and Raleigh-Durham offices are off to incredibly strong starts with world-class team members, and Hughes Marino is hoping to welcome additional teammates to both locales in the near future.
