Welcome to Our Home!

We invite you to take a peek inside Hughes Marino’s award-winning corporate headquarters located in downtown San Diego. We understand first hand the impact a company’s office environment has on its success and culture, and we practice what we preach. As part of Hughes Marino’s long-standing commitment to the communities we serve, we purchased the former offices of San Diego Magazine on the corner of Front and Beech Streets in 2011 and underwent a major overhaul inside and out. With our own in-house construction management team on hand, we completed the project that should have taken fifteen months to complete in just six months. The Hughes Marino team is thrilled to call 1450 Front Street home and we hope you enjoy a tour around our own very special home away from home!

We want everyone to love where they work and who they work with, so we created a family environment within our office that has literally transformed the culture of our company. We invested in our new headquarters to share with our team members, their extended families, and the greater community as a whole. It is truly a pleasure to come to work here every day.

With more than 12,000 square feet, the space itself is unlike anything we’ve seen in Downtown San Diego today. Comprised of more living space than office space, the entire first floor of Hughes Marino’s wholly-owned building consists of a large living room and entertainment area– clad with an 80” high-definition TV, a set of guitars, and a self-playing baby grand piano – a state-of-the-art gym with showers and personalized lockers for employees, a gourmet chef’s kitchen, a billiards room with a pool table and putting green, multiple conference rooms and media rooms, and plenty of space for pleasure. Upstairs, the perimeter is lined with offices – with an open atrium looking down onto the ground floor “living room” – drenched in light from the multiple skylights and barrel-vaulted, truss-laced raised ceiling. The new building is a tremendous addition to the downtown San Diego community.

“After calling downtown home to our team for over twenty years, we saw this as an opportunity to build a new headquarters for the company that we will enjoy for decades to come,” says Jason Hughes, chairman and CEO of Hughes Marino. He promises the premises to be a “fantastic cultural experience” for the innovative company.

Shay Hughes, president and COO of Hughes Marino, designed the interiors of the building from inception to completion. “We want everyone to love where they work and who they work with, so we created a family environment within our office that has literally transformed the culture of our company. We invested in our new headquarters to share with our team members, their extended families, and the greater community as a whole. It is truly a pleasure to come to work here every day.”
