We can\u2019t forget to mention the rooftop deck overlooking Cal Anderson Park, which is an absolutely beautiful way to take in on a hot summer day, and as you\u2019ll see in many photos, their space is also dog friendly.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26665\" src=\"https:\/\/hughesmarino.com\/seattle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/spaces-we-love-substantials-one-of-a-kind-seattle-workspace-front-of-substantial.jpg\" alt=\"Hughes Marino Seattle\" width=\"775\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hughesmarino.com\/seattle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/spaces-we-love-substantials-one-of-a-kind-seattle-workspace-front-of-substantial.jpg 775w, https:\/\/hughesmarino.com\/seattle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/spaces-we-love-substantials-one-of-a-kind-seattle-workspace-front-of-substantial-300x186.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hughesmarino.com\/seattle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/spaces-we-love-substantials-one-of-a-kind-seattle-workspace-front-of-substantial-768x476.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 775px) 100vw, 775px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Located at 900 E Pine St, and built in 1925, the building is just under one hundred years old and is part of Capitol Hill&#8217;s auto row heritage, built originally as a Chrysler dealership (the ramp to get vehicles upstairs is still present in the crawl space).<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2006, <a href=\"https:\/\/substantial.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Substantial<\/a> is a full-service digital product studio, a collection of 40+ creative developers, designers and strategists headquartered in Seattle&#8217;s Capitol\u00a0Hill neighborhood. They also offer space in their historic office for other teams to <a href=\"https:\/\/sublease.substantial.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">sublease<\/a>. As you approach, visitors are greeted with a 20-foot-long custom reception desk, which reuses Substantial\u2019s iconic former steel entry door.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-26667\" src=\"https:\/\/hughesmarino.com\/seattle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/spaces-we-love-substantials-one-of-a-kind-seattle-workspace-private-offices.jpg\" alt=\"Hughes Marino Seattle\" width=\"775\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hughesmarino.com\/seattle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/spaces-we-love-substantials-one-of-a-kind-seattle-workspace-private-offices.jpg 775w, https:\/\/hughesmarino.com\/seattle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/spaces-we-love-substantials-one-of-a-kind-seattle-workspace-private-offices-300x186.jpg 300w, https:\/\/hughesmarino.com\/seattle\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/spaces-we-love-substantials-one-of-a-kind-seattle-workspace-private-offices-768x476.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 775px) 100vw, 775px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>In 2017, with the help of architect and design firm, <a href=\"https:\/\/gocstudio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">goCstudio<\/a>, Substantial took the opportunity to expand within the building when additional space opened up. One of the most significant aspects of Substantial\u2019s narrative is the hosting of public and private events. A massive skylight adjacent to the entry staircase, allows an abundance of natural light to flow into the space throughout the entire day, allowing people to assemble in the heart of the building. According to goCstudio, \u201cMusic and creative expressions have always been a thread that ties together the owners of Substantial and an important aspect within the office.
