Description
Zodiac Pool Systems, a Fluidra Company, is a leading global manufacturer of best-in-class pool and spa products. Applying their rich heritage of innovation excellence to product engineering, they develop some of the world’s leading solutions for the most technologically-advanced, energy-efficient and clean swimming pools and spas. The company needed a space to not only reflect their mission on delivering excellent service and products, but to also cultivate a workspace where their team could thrive. Hughes Marino helped with the conversion of a 35-foot high bay flex building into 78,000 square feet of creative corporate office and 26,000 square feet of R&D test space for the pool equipment manufacturer.
Added Value
This project started and then was put on hold during the Fluidra merger. Design ideas were re-evaluated and construction began with revisiting the program and the company’s new needs. Hughes Marino met with city officials during permitting to discuss the phased implementation of the tenant’s test equipment, which required three months to move and install, while still allowing construction to receive inspections. The initial project bids were significantly over budget and Hughes Marino led the team in finding over $700,000 in cost savings with minimal impact on design.
