Description

The 34,000 square foot new building cost approximately $15.2 million, which also includes the parking lot upgrades. The complex includes a full-scale theater that seats 410 and a black box theater space. Within the complex there is also a dance studio, digital music labs, band room, choral room, scene and costume shops and recital rooms. A brand new two-story glass entry anchors the right side of the main entrance to the campus. This was a DSA project.

Added Value

Hughes Marino worked with the school’s staff to value engineer several components of the project. The Hughes Marino project management team continually coordinated the teacher’s wants and needs with the design team in order to create a functionable and usable space.

Service Provided

Hughes Marino provided project management services while representing Helix Charter High School. Hughes Marino acted as the liaison for each department’s teacher, as well as the Executive Director, who provided feedback to the Hughes Marino team. The feedback was relayed to the design team who included the changes so the end-user ultimately received exactly what they needed from their work environment.
