This week we’ve been fortunate to wish one of our dear family members, Michael Muna, a sincere bon voyage, as he heads off for a Semester at Sea. For the past three summers, Michael has been an extraordinarily valuable team member at Hughes Marino, where he has worked as one of the most reliable and diligent interns we’ve ever had.

Truth be told, Michael has been a part of the Hughes Marino family practically since birth. Now a junior at University of San Diego, Michael is the son of Ed and Kelly Muna, who serve as Senior Vice President and Senior Client Relations Manager, respectively. Michael began interning with us when he was a senior in high school.

As a family owned business, embracing the family spirit is one of our core values at Hughes Marino. In fact, in addition to the Munas, we also count twin sisters Heather and Hope Fox as vital team members, and four of the five Hugheses fill integral roles within our company.

We have believed since our inception that the family model is a good business model, and we are incredibly lucky that our family includes people such as Michael. For three summers he has brought a positive, can-do attitude to his work each day. Whether he is helping his father run our Lease Audit & Administration Services division, or reciting our core values verbatim at the start of our team meetings, it has been a privilege to watch him evolve into the intelligent, resourceful, confident young man he is today.

We wish Michael a semester of success and incredible life experiences as he ventures overseas to continue his studies.
