Derek Pedersen is a vice president at Hughes Marino, an award-winning commercial real estate company, where he specializes in representing companies in the pursuit of corporate facilities and commercial real estate planning. Based out of the firm’s Seattle office, Derek has advised companies throughout the Seattle metropolitan area and across the nation. Both his local and national market insights help provide companies with a unique edge to approach their pursuits, allowing them to leverage knowledge of their current standing in the market.
Although Derek specializes in representing technology tenants and early-stage startups, his advisory services span across industries including financial services, professional services, nonprofit associations and more. His expertise includes many types of transactions including acquisitions, relocations, renewals, restructures, expansions, leasing, subleasing and build-to-suits. By providing in-depth market research, financial forecasting and workplace strategy, Derek is able to provide his clients with innovative, creative and flexible solutions.
Derek believes strongly in exclusively servicing tenants, never landlords. Prior to joining Hughes Marino, Derek spent multiple years at the tenant representation firm Savills Studley, where he began his career in commercial real estate. Along with his expertise, Derek’s approachable personality paired with excellent communication skills allow his clients to have a seamless transaction experience.
Derek is currently involved in many civic organizations.
