Daniel Mejia is a project manager for Hughes Marino, an award-winning commercial real estate firm specializing in tenant representation and program, project and construction management. Daniel is knowledgeable and experienced in many facets of the construction process, including contract administration, project scheduling, estimating and document control.
A graduate from the University of Maryland with a B.S. in mechanical engineering, Daniel began his career within the construction industry as a project engineer for Gilbane Building Company, where he completed the 290,000 square foot historic renovation and modernization of the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Downtown Baltimore, Maryland. The renovation preserves the historic character of the treasured main branch of the Maryland State Library, while modernizing and integrating state-of-the-art MEP systems and technology which will increase opportunities for the local community. Daniel’s portfolio includes projects in multiple industries, and he is able to provide his expertise and knowledge to assist clients and deliver bespoke service.
During his career at Hughes Marino, Daniel has gained diverse experience managing projects for a vast spectrum of clients. Most recently, Daniel has been working alongside Cue Health, 21,000 SF; Fish & Richardson, 32,000 SF; and Samumed, 74,000 SF on their office relocation projects in San Diego. In addition, he is also working with Seacrest Village to complete their dining facility renovations and with Bay City Brewing to complete their new East Village tasting room.
In his free time, Daniel enjoys traveling, snowboarding, fishing, hiking, going to the beach and spending time with friends and family.
