Craig Knox is an insightful advisor and aggressive advocate for tenants with a unique background in product and business development, top tier educational credentials, and deep involvement in the local business community. Prior to entering the commercial real estate industry, Craig served as a senior manager in the technology and business services industries with two public companies and three venture-backed private companies. Craig began his career as a product design engineer. His strategic planning, financial analysis and negotiation skills developed in company management are a unique asset in serving clients in their corporate real estate matters.
Craig’s practice encompasses the life sciences and technology sectors where his technical background is a key asset in representing his clients. He also serves companies in the industrial sector and business services industry where his experience working in manufacturing and business services provides him with first-hand understanding of his clients’ business needs and strategies.

Prior to Hughes Marino, Craig was vice president at Irving Hughes and was responsible for business development and client services for the law firm of Cooley Godward LLP in San Diego. Craig is a board member of the San Diego Venture Group and has served on the Board of Directors of CommNexus, where he currently co-chairs the Capital Markets Committee and represents the EvoNexus start-up incubator on their real estate matters. Craig was chair of the 2007 Moores UCSD Cancer Center Longboard Invitational & Luau, which has raised over $5 million for cancer research since its inception nearly 20 years ago. He has served on the Magdalena Ecke YMCA board of directors and was co-chair of the Del Mar Schools Education Foundation Golf Classic. Craig serves on the Board of Elders for Grace Point Church.
Craig received a Masters of Business Administration from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and a master’s in manufacturing systems engineering from Stanford University where he was a SIMA Fellow. He holds a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering from San Diego State University where he graduated magna cum laude.
Craig is an avid surfer in San Diego’s North County, where he resides with his wife and four children.
