WD 40 space2

Description

After representing WD-40 Company in the purchase of their new corporate headquarters building, Hughes Marino helped them assemble the design and construction team for their new headquarters. Major features include a new lobby and exterior entrance canopy, open structure design with a multi-purpose training center with an operable wall the opens to become an all-hands meeting area, and an indoor-outdoor “cantina.” There was extensive use of industrial finishes to represent the environments and businesses where WD-40 Multi-Use Product is used. Natural lighting was introduced throughout the second floor using Solatubes, and infrastructure was put in place for future solar panel installation on the roof of the building.

Added Value

Hughes Marino helped identify over half a million dollars in value engineering suggestions and executed on them with minimal design impact. The project schedule was extremely complicated due to client availability and Hughes Marino kept the team moving without adding costs.

Service Provided

Hughes Marino provided complete project management services from building selection, due diligence, selection of the project team (including architect, engineers and general contractor), design and permitting, project pricing and construction activity management.
