Spaces We Love: Olive Creative Strategies’ Energetic Workspace

By Star Hughes-Gorup

Olive Creative Strategies’ motto is “It’s time to illuminate greatness”—and that is exactly what they did in their new home at 1 Columbia Place in Downtown San Diego! The national boutique public relations and marketing agency, led by visionary leader Jennifer Borba Von Stauffenberg, designed their space to inspire and invigorate both their clients and their team members—and they absolutely nailed it!

Walking into their office, you are greeted by high, exposed ceilings, globe pendant lights and a gorgeous wall of glass leading into their conference room. A cozy couch, fun art prints of the company’s logo, polished concrete floors and a floor to ceiling mural make the reception area feel like a sleek, modern NYC loft. Fittingly, the conference room and reception area’s mural says, “It’s time to illuminate greatness.” The white and reclaimed wood reception desk adds texture and makes it a space guests wouldn’t want to leave!

The rest of the space is just as enchanting. Primarily an open floor plan with two glass storefront offices, the space just flows. It’s light, bright and airy, with gorgeous skyline and water views, and the pops of color both from the furniture and accent paint make the space feel like a physical embodiment of Olive Creative Strategies’ branding and logo.

Colorful wood-painted art features inspirational quotes and perfectly complements the bright abstract art scattered throughout the space. Sit-stand desks allow for a healthy lifestyle for employees. Last but not least, the kitchen would be the envy of any cooking show host!
