Description

The project consisted of the permitting, bidding and construction of Sierra Wireless’ new 15,000 square foot office and lab space tenant improvement. The project was comprised of cubicle and office space, numerous small conference rooms, and a testing lab equipped for a future testing chamber. The conference rooms were unique because they utilized life-size conferencing capabilities, which required a unique layout and AV configuration. The project had an aggressive schedule due to the delivery of the testing chamber in the 2,500 square foot lab space. Hughes Marino Construction Management (CM) was successful in beating the client’s strict budget, and drop-dead completion date.

Added Value

Hughes Marino CM played a vital role in coordinating Sierra Wireless’ corporate vision in Canada with their local San Diego office. Despite the aggressive two month schedule, Hughes Marino CM was able to shave roughly two weeks off the construction schedule and beat the original completion date saving the client time and money. Upon completion, Hughes Marino CM successfully completed the project on time to receive the testing chamber, and under budget.

Service Provided

Hughes Marino CM provided construction project management services from the permitting phase to the selection of the general contractor, continually reviewing project pricing, scheduling, and construction activity.
