The project consisted of the design and construction of a six (6) story, cast in place, structural concrete parking structure. Work included the relocation of the main electrical, gas and water feeds to the existing hospital and the relocation of the existing heliport. The project was fast tracked to accommodate the occupancy of a new outpatient surgical center.
Hughes Marino Construction Management (CM) was able to augment the hospital’s existing project management staff and manage this project for them. The project required a great deal of coordination with the hospital during the relocation of the main electrical, gas and water services to the hospital, as well as the construction of a temporary heliport. Hughes Marino CM was also able to work with the general contractor to shorten the project duration by over 30 days and still stay on budget.
Hughes Marino CM’s scope of work included final document review and permit processing, final general contractor contract negotiations, bid evaluation and scoping and management of construction from demolition of the existing parking lot and heliport through final completion of the project.
