The project consisted of the evaluation of an existing 31,000 square foot science building and then programming, needs assessment, schematic design and budgeting for the remodel of the existing science building and for the new 31,000 square foot science building and associated site work.

Added Value

Hughes Marino Construction Management (CM), as one of its responsibilities, was tasked to find a local architect that had the required experience and staff to assist with the complicated process of programming and completing schematic designs for a new $25-$30 million science center. Our expertise not only helped select the appropriate team for the project, but helped save thousands of dollars in design fees due by creating a competitive selection process for this scope of services.

Service Provided

Hughes Marino CM provided construction management services including establishment of the overall budget and schedule, orchestration of the Architectural firm selection process and management of the entire schematics design and estimating process to ultimately assemble a complete packet of information and media that could be used for fund raising efforts.
