The project consisted of the design and construction of a 60,000 square foot lab tenant improvement project from receipt of a permit through complete project build out. The project included approximately 20,000 square feet of molecular biology lab space, training rooms, corporate offices and general office support areas, a free-standing HVAC equipment mezzanine, emergency generator, and DI water system.
Hughes Marino Construction Management (CM) joined the project after the plans had been created and the general contractor was hired. The landlord was in charge of managing the project and the client felt like they needed their own representation. Hughes Marino CM was able to shave thousands of dollars off of the original budget and ensure that all costs and schedules were monitored to meet the client’s needs.
Hughes Marino CM provided construction management service from design review and value engineering through project bidding and construction activity management.
