A 35,000 square foot Regional Headquarters including corporate offices, training facilities, a retail store and warehouse office facility. Key components included complete demolition of most building improvements; a completely new central VAV HVAC system for the building, an emergency generator, a emergency disaster call center area on SMED raised flooring, class rooms with movable walls and a large date center with raised floor and fire suppression systems.
Hughes Marino Construction Management (CM) was able to help turn an old concrete tilt-up building into the Red Crosses new regional headquarters on a strict time frame and budget. Since the Red Cross was going to own the building it was important to look at all aspects of the building from and energy use and longevity basis. Items such as a new HVAC system, new reflective roof and lighting controls helped save energy and money in the long run.
Hughes Marino CM provided construction management services including the selection of the architectural and general contracting firm through complete design, bidding, construction and occupancy of the facility.
