Job Description

  • We have one immediate opening for a talent engagement manager in our beautiful downtown San Diego headquarters.
  • This is an exciting opportunity for someone seeking a full-time, long-term career in the Human Resources side of the dynamic commercial real estate industry.
  • This person will be involved in hiring for all of our office locations and may be asked to do a small amount of travel to those offices from time to time.
  • Responsibilities include researching and collecting data for various HR initiatives, preparing materials for candidate interviews, creating applicant files, tracking applicant status, and onboarding and training of new teammates.
  • This person will provide first day orientation information to candidates across all Hughes Marino locations and lead onboarding presentations for new teammates.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of calls, emails, and processing newly hired teammates.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Internet research experience is highly desired.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be extremely organized; list maker a plus!

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree is required. Ideally the degree would be in Human Resources, Business, Communications or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of human resources, administrative, or recruiting experience in a professional work setting.
  • Prior experience working with an electronic applicant or client tracking system a plus.
  • Ability to handle hiring team and candidate communications with discretion and confidence.
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification welcomed, but not required.

Compensation

  • $50,000
