Our March 2017 HM Mini Goal

By John Jarvis

Steadfast Hughes Marino Mini Goalers,

Or should I say highbrow, cultured, art-loving, museum-visiting HM Mini Goalers?

Yep, last month we exercised our minds while contemplating art in all of its expressive forms, and in some cases we became the art in selfies and still poses.

We were loving all the photo submissions with our HM gear as an added bonus! David and his family visited Mission Control in Houston. Briana and her boyfriend visited the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley. My wife and I visited the Natural History museum. Dave and his family, as well as our friend MaryJo visited the Museum of Contemporary Art, along with many more that you can see on our Instagram!

I would be remiss if I didn’t include the grand finale accomplishment of the month – Star took our Mini Goals program all the way to Japan!

So this month, for balance, we are going to exercise our hearts. No, not a fitness goal. I mean love is in the air, like the smell of fresh blooms after all our recent heavy rains. Our March Hughes Marino Mini Goal is to:

Bring Home A Beautiful Bouquet of Flowers

Flowers can transform a space, with their pops of color, and varied and subtle scents. At Hughes Marino, we have Shirley to thank (thank you Shirley!) for a guilty abundance of fresh flowers every Monday morning that stop us in our tracks – they even have their own hashtag on Instagram! Honestly, for this reason alone, Monday is one of our favorite days of the week at Hughes Marino, which I think is uncommon.

And flowers remind us to be present, to appreciate the now, to enjoy the bloom.

This month let’s flood our social media feeds with beautiful bouquets. Pick them yourself or pay top retail, it doesn’t matter. Just make sure you bring ‘em home. You know, because you said you would.

This is how we grow.
