Job Description

  • We have multiple brokerage and operations internships year-round.
  • The brokerage internship is best suited for juniors and seniors who intend to pursue a brokerage career in tenant representation upon graduation, and either have their real estate license or are in the process of obtaining one prior to graduation.
  • The operations internship is best suited for students seeking valuable experience in communications, operations, and organizational management in a professional office setting, who are not interested in pursuing brokerage upon graduation.
  • For the right candidate(s), upon graduation these internships have potential to turn into exciting full-time opportunities with the Hughes Marino team!
  • Responsibilities might include assisting with research and data organization, assembling marketing deliverables and supporting our brokerage and operations teams with various projects.
  • Our offices are open 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. Exact work hours and days are flexible, depending on your class schedule.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Desired Skills and Expertise

  • All interns must be proficient in the entire Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Internet research experience in course work and/or internships is desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Pleasant personality and the ability to work well in a team environment.

  • For brokerage interns only, you must be in active pursuit of your California Department of Real Estate broker license, be enrolled or completed related coursework, or be involved in extra-curricular activities that demonstrate your passion for pursuing a career in commercial real estate. You must possess a strong ability to interpret and effectively present financial information and analytical data. Studies in business, economics, or real estate are preferred for brokerage interns, but not required.
  • For operations interns only, our ideal candidate is a student pursuing a social science or other non-business related degree such as Communication, Marketing, or Political Science. We encourage students exploring career paths outside of commercial real estate to apply as a background in our industry is not required. The operations internship is simply designed to expose you to a broad range of communications, operations, and administrative responsibilities in a professional office setting.
  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student pursing a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must currently hold active student enrollment status and be in good academic standing.
  • Preferred: 1-2 years of work experience in a professional environment where both interpersonal and research skills have been utilized.

  • The Los Angeles, CA team is looking for operations interns only. Brokerage internships in LA are not offered year-round since it depends on our needs at the time your application is received. Please feel free to submit your brokerage intern application for our team’s consideration.
  • The Seattle, WA team is looking for both brokerage and operations interns.
